1. Introduction

Welcome to Travelway DKC (‘’KosRentalCars’’, "we", "our", "us"). By using our website and services,  and utilizing our services, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not accept these Terms, please refrain from using our website or services.


2. Driver License Requirements:

To rent a vehicle from us, you must meet the following criteria:


- Minimum age 24 years old, maximum age 75 years old.

- Drivers must have held a full license for a minimum of 4 years.

- All  driving licenses which have been issued within the European Community, United Kingdom of Great Britain and N. Ireland, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, USA, Canada, Australia will be accepted.

- Driving licenses must be in English, Latin or Roman alphabet.


Citizens of countries outside the E.U. are required to be in possession of a driver’s license valid both in Greece and in the European Union, or otherwise holders of an international driver’s license which they are required to present together with the valid driver’s license issued in their country.

Failure to provide a valid license and IDP permit (as required) will result in a non-refundable termination of the reservation at the rental counter.


Additional Drivers

Additional drivers are free of charge and can be  arranged for.

-Additional drivers must present a valid drivers license to be added to the contract

-Minimum/Maximum age and Regionally valid driving license restrictions will  apply.


3. Rental Agreement

By reserving a vehicle with us, you agree to the following terms:

-You will follow the rental period outlined in your reservation.

-You will return the vehicle in the same condition it was rented, subject to reasonable wear and tear.

-You will use the vehicle only for legal purposes.


4. Pricing, Payment, Deposits, Refunds

- Prices are listed on our website and are subject to change without prior notice.

- Full payment or deposit is required at the time of booking.

- No refunds will be given for the unused portion of the rental period, unless we agree on different terms.

- Additional charges may apply for late returns, fuel fees, and extra services.


5. Website Issues and Changes

In the event of website failures, including technical issues, errors in pricing, or other inaccuracies:

- We reserve the right to adjust prices or cancel reservations and orders that were affected by these errors.

Customers will be notified about any changes or cancellations and will have the choice to rebook or receive a full refund.


6. Insurance:

Full insurance coverage is included in the booking cost, with an optional upgrade to Extra Full Insurance available.


Full insurance reduces your financial liability of 750€ down to a maximum of €500,00 for all car categories.

Additionally included in your booking cost:

- Mileage Allowance

The Vehicle is provided with an unlimited Kilometer / Mileage Allowance.

- Full Insurance

More information is available locally.

- Roadside Assistance

24 hour roadside assistance is provided.

- Taxes & Surcharges

Your booking includes all local taxes and premium location fee.


Extra Full Insurance releases the renter fully of the liability for any car damage provided he/she accepts and signs the relevant terms of the company’s contract and pays the daily amount of:


€5,00 for car category: A, A+

€8,00 for car category: B

€13.00 for car category: SUV, SUV PLUS, JEEP Wrangler


Theft Protection (TP)

Is included in the booking cost, in the case of theft or fire, you must contact the police and report the incident immediately, and submit a copy of the police report, the rental agreement and the Vehicles keys to the rental location. Responsibility is non-waiverable in case of theft or damages due to a theft attempt (excess applies). Theft protection does not apply beyond the rental date and time agreed with the pickup or drop-off location. For details of this insurance, please check with the supplier on collection of the Vehicle.


Exceptions in Full Insurance & Extra Full Insurance:

  1. Insurance does not cover off-road driving. Vehicles must remain on paved roads, and taking them off the island is prohibited.

  2. Damages to the interior of the car as well as the listed items below are not covered by any insurance unless they were caused in an accident. Therefore, despite the extra insurance, we may still reserve an amount for damages that are not covered by any other insurance.

The most important are the following: Antenna, trays, damage to car lock, loss or damage to keys, windshield wipers, interior of the car, spare key and car jack, hubcap, lights, gas cap, damage to upholstery of a car, damages to the roof, damages caused by roof rack and any luggage on it, personal belongings in a rented car, damage due to negligence, fuel errors, damage to child seats and baby seats, lack of electricity because of forgotten turned on electrical devices, loss of car documents, loss of registration plate.


- The car rental company, in any case, is not obligated to replace damages in music devices (radio, CD/mp3 player, etc.).

- We will not refund any telephone, taxi or hotel costs.

- We will not be held responsible for anyone driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, causing willful damage, off road driving, driving without care and attention or damages caused by negligence, and traffic violations.

- The cost of any parking fines or other penalties incurred whilst the vehicle is on rent to you are yours to pay. We will pass the relevant charge on to you plus any administrative expenses.

- The client will accept direct responsibility in respect of such claims.

- Any unnoticed accident or damage to the vehicle may be interpreted as negligence and may result in a charge to the client if not reported to the company in order for us to be able to cover it with the insurance.


Fuel

The renter has to return the car with the same quantity of fuel it had when collected. In case the car is returned with a quantity of fuel less than the original (namely, less than the quantity of fuel the vehicle had when collected by the customer), the customer shall be charged with the fuel difference. No customer refund is provided in case of the car returned with a quantity of fuel greater than that collected. Vehicles are rented out with a full tank.


Cleaning Fees

In the event that a vehicle is returned in an extremely unclean condition (internally or externally) for what we determine in our sole discretion are excessive stains, trash, dirt, soilage, odors, wet seats and requires more than out standard clean, a reasonable fee will apply to clean and repair any damage caused by your violation of this policy.


Smoking Policy

A strict non smoking or vaping policy is in place for all vehicles. If you have smoked or allowed smoking within the vehicle, charges will apply. This includes allowing cigarette, cigar, vape smoke or ash into the vehicle, which would imply the above.


Animals in Vehicles

No animals should be transported in our vehicle.


7. Accidents & Incidents:


In case of an accident or other incident that causes damage to a rented car no matter what insurance is booked, the renter should immediately inform us. If there is a third party involved, the renter should also call the Police. Insurance does not apply beyond the rental date and time agreed with the pickup location.


Failure to report accidents or damages truthfully and in keeping with the rental terms and conditions will result in risk reduction packages being null and void. Failure to cooperate or providing false information in connection with a claim will result in the driver being liable for all claims costs.


8. Reservations:

- In case of non-availability of the vehicle pre-selected by the customer, always with reference to a confirmed reservation, we reserve the right to provide the customer with a similar or a higher category car, at no extra charge for the customer.

- The company reserves the right to conclude a final rental contract with the customer before the delivery of the vehicle, based on any outstanding contractual issues from a previously concluded rental contract.

- We reserve the right to deny any rental or to terminate a rental at our sole discretion.

9. Cancellations:

- In case of a cancellation notice received by us at least forty eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled commencement of the vehicle’s rental, any amount prepaid shall be refunded. In case the payment has been made by card (credit or debit) the refund of the respective amount may take up to 14 days depending on the partner bank of the card you used while making your booking.

- In case of a cancellation notice received by us less than forty eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled commencement of the vehicle’s rental, there shall be no refund of any amount that may have been prepaid.


10. Delivery Service:

Delivery and pick-up service is free to specific hotels listed when booking or making a reservation.

11. Late Returns:
If the Vehicle is returned later than the time specified in the contract, the supplier will apply a charge.


12. Special Requests:

Special Request items are available On Request and if applicable are Subject to Availability and Seasonal Variation. Special requests cannot be guaranteed.

Baby / Child / Booster Seats
Baby seats are available for free and must be fitted by a parent or guardian (Client must specify the age of the baby/child).
